'Sorry, boys - this is the best way. Too much pain. Love, Mum and Dad': Heartbreaking note from inseparable couple who jumped to their deaths because they 'didn't want to be a burden'

'Not a burden': Mr Smith had said just says before he died that he didn't want to burden the rest of his family. Their sons Michael Smith (background) and Richard Smith (foreground) attended an inquest into their deaths

Sad love I call this, both of them dying on the same day in such a sad why, Read how the dailmail is reporting it .
An 'inseparable' elderly couple jumped to their deaths from their second-storey flat after leaving a note to their sons saying it was 'the best way'.
Glenys and Royston Smith, 88 and 91, were struggling to hold on to their independence because of their failing health, and had told friends they were terrified of being sent to separate care homes.
The couple climbed up to their bedroom windowsill late at night on December 2 last year, put their hats on and, using an upturned washing up basin as a step, fell 30ft to the ground below.

Suicide: Glenys and Royston Smith jumped to their deaths from a second-storey window of this block of flats in Bournemouth last year
