Not too long ago it was a Lauryn Hill was send to jail over tax payment, than Ron Isley and Wesley Snipes, now reports are making their rounds over Mary J Blige
According to TMZ Mary J. Blige is now in trouble with the IRS for federal taxes that went unpaid for 2009 ($574,907.30), 2010 ($2,203,743.53) and 2011 ($647,604.60).
This debt does not include a little over 900k that she allegedly owes to the state of New Jersey. Blige also allegedly owes 2.2 million on a defaulted bank loan and is facing a lawsuit that claims the singer took out a $250K loan for her charity and never paid it back.
There has not been a statement from Blige’s camp but we have seen Mary J.Blige get her hustle on. Blige starred in the Lifetime movie “Betty and Coretta”. The singer just recently wrapped up filming for the feature film, “Black Nativity”, which also stars Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, and Forest Whitaker.
Blige has not personally commented on the matter, but does she really need to? During a “Hot Topics” segment, on“The Wendy Williams Show”, Williams extended an invitation to the singer, to come on the show, to set the record straight about her alleged mounting debt problems, but nothing ever came of it.
