"The film is about problems stemming from infidelity" – Theodora Ibekwe tells Nollywood reporter BN Theodora Ibekwe is a Nigerian born UK based PR guru. She’s currently on location in the UK producing a new movie Shameful Deceit.. Today, she exclusively spoke with NollywoodGossip on her new project. By Chinelo Onuzulike (News Time With Chinelo). Please tell us about your new project. The film is about problems stemming from infidelity and family break up; pride and forgiveness. It’s centered on Elizabeth who has suffered her husband’s continuous unfaithfulness and the decisions she takes and how it affects her family; What inspired the film? The project was inspired by a young scriptwriter introduced to me by a cousin. I was excited about the synopsis and asked for a full script. This was then turned into a screenplay by an associate of mine. Are you acting or directing? I am acting and producing this film. The renowned Ruke Amata is directing. Will the film be premiered in Nigeria? God willing, we plan to come to Nigeria to premiere the film, also hoping to take it to a few other African countries. Tell us about the leading characters. I am playing one of the leads, Elizabeth; the veteran actor, Lanre Balogun, is taking the role as the philandering husband, Simon; Fatima Jabbe, the beautiful Gambian actress, is playing one of Simon’s numerous conquests, Rachael; Yvonne Hays is Evelyn, Rachael’s love rival; the veteran actress, Moji Bamtefa, plays Lady Wilfred, Simon’s mother. Marie Gomez, a bright, young Gambian actress plays Vivian, Elizabeth and Simon’s daughter. NollywoodGossip wishes you the best. Thanks for having me.
