Think about this for a moment, Peter, John, Thomas, the rest of the disciples and the women who had been their companions, saw JESUS perform many miracles, we can almost say that there were some that were not documented. They were sure that HE was the SON of GOD because they were close to HIM and knew HE was
no ordinary man. Then suddenly JESUS starts talking about dying to save humanity, a concept they could not, at the time, fully twig. Almost like a dream, the leaders incited the people and very fast, JESUS is found guilty of innocence and sentenced to be nailed to a cross. These people had seen HIM feed thousands, heal probably thousands, walk on water and even forgive sins, and now HE seemed powerless. In their minds they felt that HE could have saved HIMSELF, you can almost sense that they wanted HIM to live forever, yet to the cross HE went and actually died. Do you have a situation in your life that you are sure was GOD sent, GOD inspired, a gift from GOD and suddenly it seems to be going no where? It is baffling because you did everything you could, prayed, worked on it, waited, very patiently, nurtured it, and yet it looks like all was done in vain…well, JESUS’ story did not end on the cross, HE rose again so that in HIM, we can truly live an abundant life. There are situations that GOD permits to end because they do us no good and there are situations HE allows to end because their resurrection is good for us and they give HIM all the GLORY!!! ≈KDL®™©2013
