The Value Of Friendship

Most people count friendship as the number of friends they have or keep, but friendship is more or less about the value you put in as a friend into a friendship that matters, not the number of friends you have. friendship touches the heart, it brings challenges, it can be motivating as well as inspiring
What we must understand about friendship, which unfortunately most people don't  is
  • that friendship is kind,
  • Friendship is love
  • Friendship is forgiving
  • Friendship is understanding
  • Friendship does not count good or bad
  • Friendship has no record
If your friendship has all of these attributes, than count your self lucky and know that this is a friendship worth keeping. Yes we all have friends that has stress us to the limit, and yet we are still friends with them regardless, this is because deep down we know they are good, it just who they are, but there are the other set who has stressed us  to the limit, sometimes almost unbelievable the kind of things they do or say.
As for the second set of friends without any one telling you, you just know you can do without that kind of stress in your life, because one of the values of friendship is the truth and in this case you should have to let this kind of friendship go, unless the person causing all this is very ready and willing to change, friendship should not make you sad or uncomfortable.
Your friendship should  make you smile when you remember all the good and the not so good times, friendship should be full with warmth, your friendship should be one you can call on when facing danger and you get a kind and quick respond.
That is true friendship that is worth keeping, that is the one to keep and value. Betty nwabunike
