When someone is arrested and taken to a police station holding cell, the suspect is under complete control of police officers. |
One deputy took advantage of his power over a 34-year-old woman who was arrested for burglary.
Lamar McIntyre, 34, a deputy at the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office in Maryland, is accused of sèxually assaulting a woman while she was awaiting a court hearing.
McIntyre was arrested after he allegedly forced a female detainee to strip naked and perform oral sèx on him while she was waiting for her court hearing, according to the police report.
Now the woman filed a $15 million lawsuit against deputy McIntyre. According to the lawsuit, the woman was detained in the county jail when McIntyre allegedly took the woman to an isolated cell and then ordered her to undress.
McIntyre, who was on duty and wearing his uniform, ordered the woman to perform oral sèx on him. McIntyre then proceeded to have sèx with the woman, leaving twice during the assault to respond to radio calls.
Both times when McIntyre left the cell he ordered the woman to stand naked until he returned to continue the assault. McIntyre supposedly ended the assault by ejaculating on the woman and taking pictures of her naked.
Then the woman was taken to the court hearing, where she faced charges of theft and burglary. She reported the sèxual assault when she returned from the hearing.
Investigators recovered forensic evidence from the assault and questioned the deputy about the incident. McIntyre allegedly admitted to the incident, but insisted it was consensual. McIntyre was arrested and booked on charges of second-degree rape. He has been suspended without pay while awaiting trial in the case.
