In 2012, the screen diva bought a brand new BMW X6 which was said to have cost her about N8m and a customised plate number Ini 4p.
The X6 M offers a twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V-8 engine creating 555 horsepower at 5500 revolutions per minute, leveraging the standard all-wheel drive to accelerate with incredible tractive force through an eight-speed automatic transmission. It costs between $60,000 and $90,000.
The BMW X6 is a four-seat SUV with an elevated ride height, a dramatically sloping rear end and only two rear seats. It is remarkably quick for its size and weight, available in two trim styles that correspond to engine: xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The term xDrive refers to its standard all-wheel-drive system
Interior design and special features
Inside, the X6 is a nice place – for front passengers. It’s not quite as nice for tallerrear passengers, though materials and construction are typically solid BMW work.
Driving the X6 also comes with fun with its iDrive electronics interface with the CD player, auxiliary audio jack and HD radio through its 10-speaker sound system. While BMW Assist emergency telematics, Bluetooth and a navigation system with voice controls and real-time traffic are available as options. The optional Premium Sound package adds a 16-speaker surround-sound system with an iPod/USB adapter and a six-CD/DVD changer.
Also, active steering, automatic high beams, lane departure warning system, adaptive cruise control, keyless ignition/entry, soft-close automatic doors, running boards, sideview camera, head-up display, heated rear seats with entertainment system are available as stand-alone options.
Standard equipment on the X6 includes 19-inch wheels, front and rear parking sensors, power tailgate, sunroof, automatic and adaptive bi-xenon headlights and retractable headlight washers, foglights, automatic wipers, cruise control, 10-way power front seats, driver memory functions, leather upholstery, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.
Safety
Standard safety features on the BMW X6 include antilock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, hill descent control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and active front head restraints.
Powertrains and performance
At 14 miles per gallon/city and 20 mpg/highway with 17mpg combined, X6 accelerates from 0 to 60mph in 5.3 seconds. In Edmunds brake testing, the X6 came to a stop from 60 mph in a very short 111 feet. On the other hand, the X6 requires premium fuel.
The big changes happen behind the front seats, mostly due to the sloping roof linethat reduces rear headroom by about 2 inches. The rear seats, which are reasonably comfortable but lack any sort of adjustment, are capable of accommodating two passengers. The dramatic roof line also cuts into the cargo area.
Driving impressions
Cornering prowess is impressive due to a nearly perfect 50/50 weight distribution, wide, sticky tyres and the Dynamic Performance Control all-wheel-drive system. The steering is another standout when going fast, but at slower speeds, it can be a tad too heavy.
The good: Transmission is standard, and critics say it shifts quickly and smoothly, and despite its size and weight, its performance is excellent.
The bad: Reviewers say the BMW X6 has the weight and height of an SUV and the smaller interior of a sporty car, and the X6 isn’t much good as an SUV since it seats only four, its back-seat headroom is compromised and it can’t hold as much cargo as many competitors.
Ah! Ah! BN U come de do review of the car on top?! LOL
