The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a grandfather, Mr. Segun Kayode, for allegedly exhuming and selling human parts.
According to the police, the suspect, who works at a cemetery in Epe area of the state, sold human parts for a living, adding that he had become notorious in the area for selling human parts.
It was learnt that the suspect was arrested following a report by a resident who saw him displaying a skull for sale.
 The grandfather, who could not give his exact age, said he started selling human parts because he was poor and jobless.

Seriously God help us: Families Of Abducted Pakistani Nationals Threaten To Kill Nigerians In Pakistan If Anything Happens To Them

Families of the five Pakistani nationals on board an oil vessel, Mt Matrix 1, abducted last Saturday at 40 nautical miles off the Bayelsa coast have told the management of the company, Matrix Energy, in Warri, Delta State, not to pay any ransom to the abductors to get them released, promising to take revenge on Nigerians in their hundreds in Pakistan, if any of the victims was killed. The abducted victims include the Captain, Chief Officer, cook and two others. They were conveying automated gasoline oil, AGO, from Lagos to Eket, when they were abducted at 9pm. Sources said that relevant security agencies in Bayelsa State and Warri in Delta State, had been informed of the incident. The source added  that the company had begun negotiation with the abductors, but that details of negotiations with the company on ransom were not disclosed.

They have helped me to have a better view of life and to surmount the obstacles that life has posed. I have also been able to motivate others because the Nigerian environment has not been encouraging at all. The acceptance level in the Nigerian society is still very discouraging.
The society needs more people to help turn the darkness of loss of sight to light. What I always told my 
grandmother as a young person was that I would rather die than get to a point of begging because I am blind. My dad ensured I did well; unfortunately, he didn’t live long enough to see the good fruit of his labour.

President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, gave a robust defence of his administration’s performance at mid-term and dismissed public and media assessment of his ministers, saying the criticisms were mostly bereft of objectivity.

President Jonathan spoke at the public presentation of the administration’s mid-term report in Abuja during which administration officials rolled out positive financial indicators which among others was that Nigeria has become the highest investment destination in the continent.

Celebrity & debt: Mary J. Blige allegedly facing more debt problems

Not too long ago it was a Lauryn Hill was send to jail over tax payment, than Ron Isley and Wesley Snipes,  now reports are making their rounds over Mary J Blige 

 According to TMZ Mary J. Blige is now in trouble with the IRS for federal taxes that went unpaid for 2009 ($574,907.30), 2010 ($2,203,743.53) and 2011 ($647,604.60).

This debt does not include a little over 900k that she allegedly owes to the state of New Jersey. Blige also allegedly owes 2.2 million on a defaulted bank loan and is facing a lawsuit that claims the singer took out a $250K loan for her charity and never paid it back.

There has not been a statement from Blige’s camp but we have seen Mary J.Blige get her hustle on. Blige starred in the Lifetime movie “Betty and Coretta”. The singer just recently wrapped up filming for the feature film, “Black Nativity”, which also stars Jennifer Hudson, Angela Bassett, and Forest Whitaker.

Blige has not personally commented on the matter, but does she really need to? During a “Hot Topics” segment, on“The Wendy Williams Show”, Williams extended an invitation to the singer, to come on the show, to set the record straight about her alleged mounting debt problems, but nothing ever came of it.

The summit was organised by the state as part of the activities to mark the 2013 Democracy Day celebration.
