“I am coming for the CAF awards, I will be flown in and out of Nigeria by the Chelsea jet. I will arrive on the awards day and return immediately after,” Mikel told MTNFootball.com “It is an honour to be selected and nominated for the award. I am looking forward to winning it for my country.” He also saidMikel is up against Cote d'Ivoire and Man City player Yaya Toure and Cote d'Ivoire and Galatasaray player, Didier Drogba. BENIN—Edo State governor, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday, said that his government had no apology for sacking 836 teachers in the state.
He spoke on the heels of the disclosure by the leadership of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, that he had promised to review the recent sack of the teachers, with a view to recalling those who were improperly sacked.
Oshiomhole, who spoke through the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, said his administration was poised to sanitise and revitalise the education sector to produce students who would pass the Senior School Certificate Examinations without recourse to miracle centres, noting that the presence of some teachers that could not read, write or speak good English would not produce intelligent pupils.
He spoke in Auchi during the celebration of Allah at the 17th edition of Auchi Day, with the theme The Holy Qu’ran: Guidance for Mankind.
He said: “Some people are bellyaching that we sacked teachers. We have no apology for that. Some persons ought to have retired 10 years ago, but they reduced their ages in order to remain in the system. They have passed the age of 60 and are still in the system.”
He noted that many Nigerian leaders abandoned God and are pursuing wordly things, adding that the country needs leaders keen on moving it forward.
Otaru of Auchi, HRH Aliru Momoh, Ikelebe III, warned that the struggle for power and influence only for perpetuating stealing and killings, which brought the country on the verge of collapse was caused by the inordinate ambition of citizens.Source

A 66-year-old Brazilian man has spent 35 years preaching the word of God - because he believes he is the reincarnation of Jesus.
Inri Christo has ‘hundreds of followers’ from around the world, including the UK, Britain and France, some of whom live with him at his ‘church’ compound outside Brasilia.
Since 1979 he has travelled for 27 countries to spread his word, however his controversial views has seen him expelled from the US, Britain and Venezuela.
Most of the disciples who live at his church – mostly women - have followed Inri for decades, the eldest, Abevere, 86, has been following him for 32 years.
His youngest disciple is now 24 years old and first met Inri when she was just a two years old.
His Jesus-like dressing and unorthodox views on capitalism, abortion and even Christmas has seen him detained by police more than 40 times.

Popular Lagos pastor Dr. Sign Fireman arrested over alleged ritual murder of virgin girl

"Sign Fireman has been implicated in a ritual murder scandal involving a boy in his church who strangled a 12 year old girl while trying to obtain feces from her for ritual purposes.
The disclosure of Pastor Fireman's involvement in the scandal was made by an eighteen year old boy paraded by the police in Lagos. The teenage suspect (pictured above) stated during the parade that he was sent on the ritual mission by Pastor Fireman.He said he had always dreamt of becoming rich and had approached the pastor personally, after years of attending the church without his own financial miracle happening, Mr. Fireman reportedly told him the way to get his Sign for finance was to get the feces of a virgin girl. The suspect said Pastor Fireman promised him a reward of N100,000 for the assignment.

Sad! Ex Miss Venezuela/Telemundo actress & ex shot dead in Venezuela
Former Miss Venezuela 2004 and popular telenovela actress, Monica Spear, 29, and her ex-husband Thomas Berry, 39, were shot dead in their car on a highway in Venezuela by armed robbers in front of their 5 year old daughter on Monday January 6th, local news reports.
Monica and Thomas were traveling with their daughter late Monday night when their car hit a sharp object which had been placed on the Puerto Cabello highway.
The couple came out of their car and dialed for help. While waiting for a tow truck, they saw armed men coming their way and locked themselves in their car. The men, later found to be armed robbers, opened fire through the car window, killing Monica & Thomas and injuring their daughter. Continue

Bill Gates is back to being the richest man in the world after making $15.8 billion in 2013 alone and raising his fortune to $78.5 billion.
Bloomberg’s billionaires index showed that the 300 richest people in the world increased their wealth by $524 billion in 2013 and the aggregate net worth of the world’s top billionaires stood at $3.7 trillion at the close of market on December 31.

MediaTakeOut.com just got wind of what looks to be the first major gossip scoop of 2014 . . . we learned that Khloe Kardashian is pregnant. That's not rumor y'all either . . . it's facts!!
We're told that Khloe announced her pregnancy and asked the entire family to keep the news quiet. Khloe's momanger Kris is working on the proper time and place to make the announcement.
Oh, and the father . . .well we're told that Khloe is "pretty sure" its Lamar's. But there is an outside possibility it's Matt Kemp's. But if we know the Kardashians like we do, they'll prolly spin it into a Maury episode. LOL.

Police arrest Rivers lawmaker, Chidi Lloyd, over alleged murder of 2 people
The River State Police Command has arrested him for the alleged murder of 2 people, one Kingsley Ejeuo and police sergeant Urang Obadiah.
In a statement issued by the Rivers State police, Chidi Lloyd is accused of knocking down and killing the police sergeant while pursuing Kingsley Ejeuo who he also killed. The statement below...
“The Rivers State Police Command has arrested Hon. Chidi Llyod of the Rivers State House of Assembly for murder of police Sgt. Urang Obediah and Mr. Kingsley Ejeuo, his kinsman and arch political opponent. He was arrested on his way to join Governor Amaechi Rotimi in his private jet at the Airforce Base to escape justice.
“Hon. Chidi Lloyd on December 30, 2013 while pursing his political opponent, knocked down Sgt. Urang Obadiah, in spite of his effort to stop him, rammed and killed him and went ahead to crush the Passat car of Mr. Kingsley Ejeuo was driving and killed him.

67 year old Jang Song Thaek, (pictured left) who until his execution on Dec. 12th was the leader's adviser and the country's second most powerful man, was accused of trying to overthrow the government. Thaek and five close aides faced a military tribunal, were found guilty of treason and sentenced to death.
It's now being reported by Chinese newspaper Wen Wei Po that the men were stripped naked and thrown into a cage where they were eaten alive by a pack of dogs in a punishment called 'quan jue', or execution by dogs. The paper claim it took the dogs over an hour to eat them alive. Unbelievable!!
