How female kidnapper strangled & tied neighbor's 6-year old son in a box(Photo)

A six-year-old boy, Emmanuel Emeka, who was rescued from a suspected kidnapper on Wednesday in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, has recounted how he was lured, seized and tied up by his abductor.

Emmanuel said the suspect, identified as Mama Ifunaya, who was a neighbour, lured him into her room, strangled him,covered his mouth with clothes before tying him up with rope to prevent him from screaming.

He said,

“I wanted to draw water and take my bath before going to school when she told me to come. I went because I know her; she is Mama Ifunnaya. But when I got to her side, she threw me inside her room… she closed her net. She then tied me and put me inside a box.I wanted to shout, but I could not shout properly. I heard my mummy’s voice when she was looking for me, but I could not shout. She (pointing to the suspect) is a wicked person.”

Sudanese woman Meriam Ibrahim pictured in the back seat of a car last night moments after she was finally freed by Sudanese Police and allowed to leave the country. The Sudanese Authority had claimed on Tuesday that they had only detained Meriam at the airport over travel documents and had let her go but they actually held her until yesterday, claiming she forged the travel documents which she presented at the airport.

Meriam and her family are expected to first fly to South Sudan before making their way to the U.S to begin a new life with American husband, Daniel Wani...

After surviving many rumours of her death, ex-Minister of Information and Communication and erstwhile DG of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, Professor Dora Nkem Akunyili, bowed to ovarian cancer early Saturday morning. News of her death was officially announced by the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, on the Anambra Broadcasting Service,
 ABS. Obi said Akunyili died after a protracted battle with cancer. But her death has been blamed on misdiagnosis by some doctors in the United States of America. The doctors were said to have claimed she did not have cancer after her Nigerian doctor’s diagnosis to the effect she had the deadly sickness… Obi, in the statement, said:

A well-known speaker started off his seminar holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it...?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We may feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

RHOA’s Apollo Nida says Phaedra Parks Should Stay Married to Him in Jail – Video

Earlier this month, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida plead guilty to charges of mail, wire, and bank fraud.

The 35-year-old could face up to 30 years in jail for stealing more than $2.3 million from 50 people –read it here.

He visited The Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith to discuss his trending situation, his future and to tell his side of the story.
Apollo also said his wife Phaedra Parks should stay married to him when he goes to jail.
“I think Phaedra, in a perfect world, should be supportive as a wife should be…But if she chooses to derail from the plan, then that’s what she chooses to do. Apollo is prepared for whatever happens in life. Whatever’s been thrown at me, I deal with it. I would like to say I would want her to stay around and do what a wife should do. But tomorrow’s not promised.” he said.
Apollo is awaiting his July 8th guilty plea sentencing.

TANKS, MUSCLES AND TRAFFIC CHAOS: Question: What do you get when you put tough guy stars Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas and Mel Gibson together on the French Riviera, plonk them on a couple of tanks and send them out along the Cannes seafront? Answer: total mayhem.

The ageing movie stars rolled into Cannes on Sunday on top of two tanks, parading down the chic seaside promenade to promote their film “The Expendables 3″.

They were escorted by overwhelmed-looking French police as people in their hundreds mobbed the vehicles, seemingly oblivious to the very strong risk of being flattened.

At one stage, both tanks had to make a U-turn to return to the luxury Carlton hotel forcing the driver to undertake yet more tricky manoeuvring.

The problem facing the President and indeed the Nigerian government is to get these girls from wherever they are" he said
